Baron Luke, of Pavenham, is a title in the Peerage of the United Kingdom. It was created in 1929 for the businessman George Lawson Johnston. He was the second son of John Lawson Johnston, the founder of Bovril Ltd. As of 2010[update] the title is held by his grandson, the third Baron, who succeeded his father in 1996. He is one of the ninety elected hereditary peers that remain in the House of Lords after the passing of the House of Lords Act 1999 of 1999. Lord Luke sits on the benches.
